There is a piece of rubbish doing the rounds that if you have the right processes in place then people don't matter. You can plug any person into the organisation, train them on the process and they will be able to produce a product.
         I've yet to see it.
         In programming there can be as much as
a 5 to 25 fold difference in productivity from one
developer to another.
         It really pays to get the right people.

         Similar but even more so in the area of the arts. Finding a talented studio who can listen, duplicate and deliver what is required in the style appropriate to the client and job is a very tall order.
